**Paper towels, paper towel and paper towels, we go thur rolls everey day. Bleach( not ultra), IAMS puppy and kitten food, IAMS adult dog and cat food**
Treats and toys of all kinds
Kitty litter
Postage stamps
(not ultra)
Garbage bags of all sizes
Spartan UPC symbols
Paper Towels
Pine-Sol
**We've had great success feeding the shelter animals Iams food. Some of the cheaper brands tend to cause stomach upset or diarrhea, especially if we have to change foods often. Since IAMS is a high quality food, we don't have to feed as much because the nutrients are better absorbed, and there is less waste to clean up. Also, it is better to keep animals on the same food, rather than switching foods often. If you would like to donate food to the shelter, please consider donating IAMS. Thank you!

We also have an account set up to accept donation of your Carter's greenpoints if you no longer want them, we can use them. You just need to go online to www.greenpoints.com and you can make the donation through the web page or you can call them toll free at 1-800-435-5674. The account number for the Humane Society is 420070222216. If you have any questions please call the shleter or the above phone number for Carter's reward. Thank you!

2008 DOG LICENSES AVAILABLE

State law requires all dogs 4 months and older to be licensed and vaccinated for rabies (the first rabies vaccination is good for one year, and is then repeated every three years). Dog licenses can purchased at the Cheboygan County Humane Society, Animal Medical Clinic of Cheboygan and Indian River Veterinary Clinic. Be sure to have proof of rabies vaccination at time of purchase.Prices before March 1 are $5.00 for a spayed/neutered dog and $15.00 for an intact animal. Prices after March 1 are $10.00 for a spayed/neutered dog and $30.00 for a male/female dog. (License fees double on March 1). Licenses for 2008 are available starting in December. If you are caught without a dog license and rabies vaccination, you could be ticketed and fined a minimum of $110.00. License fees help support the Cheboygan County Humane Society Animal Shelter and Animal Control. A license tag is a lost dog's ticket home!

Adopt a Friend for Life!

To adopt an animal, the fees range from $50.00 to $90.00 depending on whether the animal is already up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered prior to arriving at the shelter. If an animals needs to be vaccinated, dewormed and neutered, the adoption fee is $90.00. This is a great value as we put even more money into the animal than what is charged for adoptions. Donations and grants keep our adoption fees low. Additional adoption charges may apply for special events such as Adopt-A-Thons to help cover the increased costs (veterinary, travel, supplies, staff etc). All animals will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

It is a state law that all animals adopted from shelters be spayed or neutered to help reduce the pet overpopulation problem.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS.

CHECK OUT OUR ADOPTION BOARD IN THE PET DEPARTMENT OF THE LOCAL CHEBOYGAN WALMART, OR IN A WALMART NEAR YOU. WE HAVE PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS OF OUR ADOPTABLE ANIMALS FOR YOU TO LOOK AT AND SEE!!!!!!!
